My KeyGrabber Doesn't Show Up as a Flash Drive

To switch a KeyGrabber into flash-drive mode, press K, B, S together — simultaneously, not in sequence — on the physical keyboard attached to the logger.

A KeyGrabber reveals its log by switching into a USB flash drive. If that isn't happening, work through these checks.

Press the keys correctly

  • Press K, B, S together (simultaneously) — not one after another.
  • Use the physical USB keyboard attached to the keylogger, with the keylogger plugged into a USB port.

If it still doesn't appear

It helps to work out whether this is a device issue or a system incompatibility. Please:

  1. Note your keyboard manufacturer and model.
  2. Try logging data and opening the drive on a different computer with a different keyboard.

That quickly narrows down the cause.

Bottom line

The flash drive is triggered by the simultaneous K + B + S combination on the attached keyboard. If a second computer and keyboard also fail, report the keyboard model so the problem can be diagnosed.
